Ban MaeBo's story begins with my grandfather, a renowned architect who set out with a vision to build an ideal holiday home for his family. He designed this home by incorporating local architectural heritage, embodying the essence of Northern Thai traditional houses.
His passion for cultivating plants led him to collect a diverse range of flora—from tiny cacti and exotic ferns to beautiful orchids and golden bamboos. Through years of dedication, he transformed our remote countryside home into a beloved botanical sanctuary.
Since his passing in 2023, my mother and I have inherited his vision, honoring his legacy by building upon this bountiful foundation to create an unforgettable experience—one we are proud to share with our esteemed guests at Ban MaeBo Local Stay.
